The goal of these recipes is to both enhance the natural flavor of kava and increase its potency by adding fat.

TROPICAL SMOOTHIES
MANGO-COCONUT PARADISE
Ingredients : - 20g Melo Melo Kava powder - 1 ripe mango - 200ml coconut milk - 100ml pineapple juice - 1 banana - 1 tsp honey - 5-6 ice cubes - Pinch of vanilla powder e.g. Amazon vanilla from GUYA
Preparation : 1. Knead kava powder with 100ml lukewarm water and coconut milk for 5 minutes, strain 2. Put all fruits in a blender 3. Add pineapple juice and kava extract 4. Add honey and vanilla 5. Blend for 60 seconds on high 6. Serve with ice cubes
Taste : Creamy-tropical, sweet with earthy kava notes
Effect : Relaxing and mood-enhancing
Best time : Afternoon or early evening
Servings : 2 large glasses

PINEAPPLE-GINGER BLAST
Ingredients : - 20g Borogu Kava powder - 300ml fresh pineapple juice - 2cm fresh ginger - 1 lime (juice) - 1 tbsp agave syrup - 150ml coconut water - Mint leaves for garnish
Preparation : 1. Prepare kava traditionally with 150ml water 2. Finely grate ginger or chop it in a blender 3. Mix pineapple juice, lime juice and agave 4. Add kava extract and coconut water 5. Mix everything well 6. Serve over ice, garnish with mint
Taste : Fruity-spicy, refreshing
Effect : Energizing and focusing
Best time : Morning or before creative activities

COCONUT DREAM
Ingredients : - 20g Palasa Kava powder - 250ml coconut milk - 1 frozen banana - 2 tbsp desiccated coconut - 1 tsp coconut oil - 1 date - 1/2 tsp cinnamon - Ice cubes as needed
Preparation : 1. Extract kava with warm coconut milk 2. Place frozen banana and date in blender 3. Add coconut milk, desiccated coconut and coconut oil 4. Add kava extract and cinnamon 5. Blend until creamy 6. Dilute with ice cubes if needed
Taste : Rich, creamy, naturally sweet
Effect : Deeply relaxing and calming
Best time : Evening before going to bed
Servings : 1 large serving

WARM COMFORT DRINKS
GOLDEN KAVA LATTE
Ingredients : - 20g Bir Kar Kava powder - 300ml almond milk - 1 tsp turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp ginger powder - pinch of black pepper - 1 tsp honey or maple syrup - 1/2 tsp coconut oil - cinnamon for dusting
Preparation : 1. Extract kava with warm almond milk (knead for 10 min) 2. Stir in turmeric, ginger and pepper 3. Add kava extract 5. Stir in honey and coconut oil 6. Foam and dust with cinnamon
Taste : Spicy-warm, slightly bitter-sweet
Effect : Anti-inflammatory and relaxing
Best time : Evening or when you have a cold
Servings : 1 large cup

WARM COMFORT DRINKS
KAVA HOT CHOCOLATE
Ingredients : - 20g Melo Melo Kava powder - 400ml oat milk - 2 tbsp cocoa powder - 1 tbsp dark chocolate - 1 tsp vanilla extract or Amazon vanilla - 2 tsp maple syrup - Pinch of sea salt - Marshmallows (optional)
Preparation : 1. Prepare kava with 100ml lukewarm water and the warm oat milk (knead) 2. Stir in cocoa powder 3. Melt chocolate 4. Add kava extract, vanilla and maple syrup 5. Season with a pinch of salt 6. Serve with marshmallows - if necessary, warm again slightly (do not heat).
Taste : Chocolatey-creamy with earthy notes

Best time : Winter evenings, as a dessert substitute

WARM COMFORT DRINKS
KAVA CHAI FUSION
Ingredients : - 20g Borogu Kava powder - 300ml water - 200ml whole milk or oat milk - 1 chai tea bag or 1 tsp GUYA-Chai - 1 tsp honey - 1/2 tsp ghee or coconut oil - Cardamom for garnish
Preparation : 1. Extract the kava cold and set aside 2. Heat water to 80°C, let the chai steep for 5 minutes 3. Heat the milk separately (do not boil) 4. Strain the chai tea 5. Add the warm milk and kava extract 6. Stir in the honey and ghee 7. Sprinkle with cardamom
Taste : Spicy-aromatic with kava depth
Effect : Energizing but relaxing
Best time : Afternoon as a coffee alternative

REFRESHING MOCKTAILS
KAVA LEMON DROP
Ingredients : - 20g Melo Melo Kava powder - 60ml fresh lemon juice - 30ml sugar syrup - 200ml soda water - 1 tsp lavender honey - lemon slices - ice cubes - salt for the glass rim (optional)
Preparation : 1. Extract kava with 150ml water, chill 2. Optionally, prepare the rim of the glass with salt 3. Mix lemon juice, sugar syrup and lavender honey 4. Add kava extract 5. Pour over ice in the glass 6. Top up with soda water 7. Garnish with a lemon slice
Taste : Citrus fresh, slightly floral
Effect : Refreshing and relaxing

TROPICAL KAVA PUNCH
Ingredients : - 30g Palasa Kava powder - 200ml pineapple juice - 100ml passion fruit juice - 150ml coconut water - 2 tbsp lime juice - 1 tbsp grenadine - pineapple chunks - maraschino cherries - crushed ice
Preparation : 1. Prepare kava traditionally with 200ml water and 150ml coconut water 2. Mix all juices in a large bowl 3. Stir in kava extract 4. Add grenadine for color effect 5. Serve over crushed ice 6. Garnish with fruit
Taste : Tropical-sweet with complex
Deep effect : Relaxing and sociable

REFRESHING MOCKTAILS
KAVA CUCUMBER COOLER
Ingredients : - 2g Bir Kar Kava powder - 1/2 cucumber (peeled, deseeded) - 300ml tonic water - 2 tbsp lime juice - 1 tsp agave syrup - 6-8 mint leaves - cucumber slices - ice cubes
Preparation : 1. Extract kava cold 2. Purée cucumber in a blender 3. Press cucumber purée through a fine sieve 4. Mix cucumber juice with lime juice and agave 5. Add kava extract 6. Gently press mint leaves 7. Serve over ice, top up with tonic
Taste : Fresh, tart, refreshing

GREEN GODDESS SMOOTHIE
Ingredients : - 20g Borogu Kava powder - 1 handful of spinach - 1/2 avocado - 1 green apple (pitted) - 200ml coconut water - 1 tbsp chia seeds - 1 tsp spirulina powder - 1 tsp honey - lime juice
Preparation : 1. Extract kava with water (100ml) and coconut water (100ml) 2. Spinach, avocado and apple in blender 3. Add remaining coconut water 4. Add kava extract, chia seeds and spirulina 5. Honey and lime juice for flavor 6. Blend until smooth
Taste : Green fresh, slightly sweet
Effect : Energizing and nutritious
Best time : Morning as a breakfast substitute

ANTIOXIDANT BERRY BLAST
Ingredients : - 20g Melo Melo Kava powder - 100g mixed berries (blueberries, raspberries) - 1 banana - 200ml almond milk - 1 tbsp goji berries - 1 tsp acai powder - 1 tbsp almond butter - 1 tsp honey
Preparation : 1. Prepare kava traditionally with water and almond milk 2. Place berries and banana in a blender 3. Add almond milk and kava extract 4. Add goji berries, acai powder and almond butter 5. Sweeten with honey 6. Blend until creamy

GOLDEN ROOT ELIXIR
Ingredients : - 20g Palasa Kava powder - 200ml carrot juice - 100ml orange juice - 1 tsp fresh ginger (grated) - 1/2 tsp turmeric - 1 tsp honey - pinch of cayenne pepper - orange slice
Preparation : 1. Extract kava with warm water (150ml, 45°C) 2. Mix carrot juice and orange juice 3. Add ginger, turmeric and cayenne 4. Stir in kava extract 5. Sweeten with honey 6. Mix well, garnish with orange
Taste : Spicy-sweet, slightly spicy
Effect : Immune-strengthening and relaxing
Best time : For colds, to strengthen the immune system

KAVA NICE CREAM
Ingredients : - 20g Bir Kar Kava powder - 3 frozen bananas - 100ml coconut milk - 2 tbsp cashew butter - 1 tsp vanilla extract - 1 tbsp maple syrup - Pinch of sea salt - Coconut flakes for garnish
Preparation : 1. Extract kava with 50ml warm water and coconut milk, cool 2. Blend frozen bananas in a blender 3. Add kava extract and cashew paste 4. Add vanilla and maple syrup 5. Blend until creamy 6. Garnish with coconut flakes and serve
Taste : Creamy-sweet like ice cream
Effect : Relaxing and satisfying
Best time : As a healthy dessert

DESSERT CREATIONS
KAVA BUBBLE TEA
Ingredients : - 20g Melo Melo Kava powder - 300ml jasmine tea (cooled) - 200ml coconut milk - 2 tbsp tapioca pearls (cooked) - 2 tsp brown sugar - ice cubes - wide straws
Preparation : 1. Cook tapioca pearls according to package instructions 2. Extract kava with cold jasmine tea and coconut milk (100ml) (10-15 min) 3. Mix the remaining coconut milk with brown sugar 4. Divide the cooked pearls into glasses 5. Pour the kava-tea-coconut mixture over ice 6. Carefully layer the coconut milk-sugar mixture on top
Taste : Tea-sweet with interesting texture

KAVA CHIA PUDDING
Ingredients : - 20g Palasa Kava powder - 400ml almond milk - 4 tbsp chia seeds - 2 tbsp maple syrup - 1 tsp vanilla extract or Amazon vanilla - 1/2 tsp cinnamon - Fruits for garnishing - Nuts or granola
Preparation : 1. Extract kava with 200ml warm almond milk 2. Mix the remaining almond milk with maple syrup 3. Add kava extract, vanilla and cinnamon 4. Stir in chia seeds 5. Let it steep for 4 hours or overnight 6. Serve with fruits and nuts
Taste : Creamy-nutty, naturally sweet
